Eye of Judgement

It has been a while since I bought something that catches my attention so much. Fortunately I was able to win this impressive edition of Eye of Judgement for the PS3. A tough and great looking box with all the original contents including the eyetoy camera for the PS3 and the regular bonus disc. It has 4 drawers that only open in pairs, each one in a different direction. Includes also a card set with three ultra rare cards. I really did not want to buy this game before because I was affraid that I would want a full card collection and that's a pain to accomplish. Well too late for me now.

Driver Parallel Lines

Here is a good example of a good game that became nothing more that average, maybe good to some people. The original Driver games for the PS1 were awesome, some of the best driving experences I ever played on that console. But when #3 came out, it was considered average or bellow. This latest release is superior to the previous game in many aspects , which is good, but has not left any signs for a better and improved game, specially considering how far ahead its most direct rival is right now (yeah, I'm talking about GTA). Anyway, this special edition belongs to a series of games that made my joy back in the PS1 era and I still respect them. Here's a special promotional release which comes with a bonus disc an an LP disc or whatever you call it in english. Very nice, the only one I ever found so far, I'm glad that I actually got it!

Get Together... With PS2?

Let's imagine, you and a bunch of hot babes stand alone at home together and to have some fun you decide to... Play PS2? Yeah sure I'd tell ya what I'd play... Now seriously, Sony tried to innovate by creating party/familly games with additional features "never seen before in videogames". We have Buzz, Eyetoy and Singstar. They all became games with little depth, most of the times repetitive and only worth some hours of serious play. This is just the perspective of a more serious gamer like me. For the casual gamer these might be very entertaining, true. But I guess Sony's objective was to hunt the public that really isn't into videogames by creating something they could simply enjoy. Sony's efforts did pay off, as most of these games were in fact a success, specially the singstar family. Above is a promo pack that features one edition for each acessory in a nice looking pack. Microsoft just picked up the Buzzers idea and made their own called "Big Button" (talking about creative names...), ready to be released for the 360. They better release some special edition such as this one if they want to catch my attention. This is another one of those editions I bought exclusively for collection purposes and not really to play, but that doesn't mean I don't like the games or the edition itself. I just don't take these games just as serious.

War of The Monsters

Have you ever though of a game where all your favourite giant creatures fight against each other? Wouldn't it be cool? Well, not really, it's a pretty obvious idea. But the game's pretty nice and worth a try. I have two of these editions, but only one is complete with the gigantic poster. There aren't many of these around, each poster is individually numbered which means only a few were ever produced. I don't know how many. By the way the background image (which, by the way, you can't really see...) is from Ultraman. I wanted to add a Kamen Rider or Sentai image because I do like those shows and I don't know much about Ultraman, but that pic was nice and easy to find, so, ... whatever, just cut the crap...

DJ Decks and FX

Whilst I appreciate all sorts of *good* music except hardcore styles such as most Metals and certain styles of Hip Hop, Rap (and I deffinitely do not like Kuduro), my favourite music styles are in fact Dance Music (eurodance style), Trance and House/Club and similar styles (not including mind-blowing and repetitive Tecno). So, here's another special thingy: DJ Decks and FX edition. Silver bag, card slipcase, two discs, manual, nothing else. Looks good, but very simplistic. And yes it's very unusual to find this edition, although it is not worth much.

Killzone Liberation

We do know that Sony enjoys releasing special packs to promote their main games. The ones that are publicitized everywhere. Killzone is one of them. And this special pack is pretty sweet too. Everything you need in war is included: A tactical dossier (information leaflet), Ground assault (the game), Battlefield Intel (press disc), and most inportant thing (not!), the Combat Gear (a t-shirt). Bring it on!

Airblade?

I have not played this game so there isn't much I can tell about it. I found this edition and picked it for a very good price. Comes with a wallet/bag and two discs inside a circle-shaped case. And that's it.

Heavenly Beauty

This ain't your regular edition of the game. Very simple, but great looking. It doesn't contain anything special or elaborated. A black envelope with silver scriblings. Inside, a special artbook/leaflet with beautiful images and drawings from this game. Includes two special discs, one being the review code with a different art work of the original game disc, and the press materials bonus disc. One of my favourite editions.

Gangs of London

To be honest, I don't know much about this game. I've seen many pics and heard about it before it was released but never managed to play it. Then I saw this edition and grabed it as soon as I had the chance. A box set imitating a crime report where the files are in fact promotional papers with information about the game. The evidence is a promo copy of the game. Pretty nice. The edition has an old-fashined look (no, it is not damaged or dirty, it really is like that).

Formula 1

A limited edition of Formula 1 99 released in France only, in a nice box, a t-shirt and a cap. I'm not sure why it was only released in France though, maybe to celebrate something like the Monde des Bleues Edition. The other one is a Formula 1 2003 Press edition with two discs, one of them being the promo version of the game. A nice looking edition.

Eyetoy Chat

Just a promo boxset with two disc and some bonus stuff. Nice and rare, but no big deal. This box is the only Eyetoy edition I have that doesn't come with a camera. Shame, shame...

Patapon

Another great title created by the producers (or makers, whatever) of LocoRoco. Original, one of a kind. Sure, but I am starting to think originality must evolve to something bigger than just games like this one. So many things to be done in videogames... Hope the future is more promising than it actually looks. Anyways, this is another of the many editions I have and just came to my hands this week. Includes a leaflet with pics and information, the promo version of the game and the regular press disc. It was kinda hard to get a hold of this edition since I failed to get two before, and it is not easily found. This one came from Australia.

Corrections and changes

I have been correcting some of the older posts and I also updated some of the pictures. One of my friends complained about my bed's square-patterned bedspread appearing in all pictures. The guy made me lose one Saturday changing the backgrounds of the pictures and updating my blog. Anyway, if you visited my blog before, you know I changed the overall background and added a new layout. Hope you enjoy the banner because I am not skilled in Photoshop and I made that by messing with the tools and reading a couple of tutorials. But I am glad it came out so well. Well at least I enjoy it. Next update will include more regular games but it might take some time. Next month I'll be buying a PSP =)

The latest, not the last nor the least

Here it is, finally. An Xbox 360 Elite, with a free GTA IV game. Was bought last week. Awesome purchase. Unfortunately for me, there are only two main consoles missing... Besides Mega CD, I don't have a PSP and a Master System. Oh my god, the first childhood console, Master System, complete and Mint, given away by my parents and I still did not move a finger to get another one. It will come. I am sure. It will come. Sooner or Later...
