Was it really necessary? This is the 3rd different version of this game in my collection. First was the Wii version which I actually bought on release day and came close to finish it. Then not too long ago I managed to get a GameCube version. Suddenly this pops up in my collection. There really was no need for this... But it's Zelda, so yeah, it's almost mandatory...

Limited Edition Zelda Wind Waker Slipcase ('cause this title will get me more views than any other)
This is another one of those things that took me a pretty long time to get. Basically, this is a limited edition copy of the Wind Waker for the Gamecube that comes with this unique slipcase. I assume this is a HMV thingy, I'm not too sure. I've known this for many years now but, for some reason, I never really felt like buying it. Once in a while I still remembered I was missing this in my collection. Too bad its price was nearly twice as much as it was worth some years ago, but with so much stuff to buy all the time it's pretty hard to guess what to leave behind. Now that the Majora's Mask came out for the 3DS, I suddenly had the urge to get this slipcase. I'm sure many people can relate to this feeling because whenever a new game for an old franchise gets released, the general interest in other things related to that particular franchise seems to receive a small boost, even when it's Zelda.Yeah, because Zelda stuff never gets unsold-

Instantly worth it just because it's Zelda
Yeah, Majora's Mask for the 3DS arrived and so did this little Special Edition that I obviously had to get. It reminds me of the moment when I originally bought the Limited Edition Adventure Set for the N64, the first huge purchase that made it to my collection back in 2005 or 2006 I believe. It's been around 10 years!

Dynasty Link
I don't really feel like writing about this so I'm just posting a random paragraph and the picture. The game doesn't excite me that much. I wish it was a brand new Zelda game instead of this sort of crossover spinoff. I bought it because it's Zelda and it's limited. Can't go wrong with that. The Japanese version was way better than this edition that only includes a scarf. I don't find that particularly fascinating. In fact, the latest Nintendo editions seem nothing more than the game and a preorder bonus item in a proper package...

Zelda is not the green guy
You know that moment when you finally lose your head to buy something you've been wanting for a while but was kinda expensive and you'd prefer to save the money for other things? That summarizes what happened last week:
Even though I already had a white Wii U, what I truly wanted was the Limited Edition Zelda version. A local supermarket dropped its current price by 33% and I though it was now or never. What actually boosted my will to get this version of the console was the newer trailers for the next Xeno game, which seems to be called Xenogears Origins if the leaked E3 list is really true - which looks like total BS since E3 is no longer the place where new games are announced, they just show new footage and details about games we already knew would come out.
And since we're talking about Zelda, I might as well add the picture of the 3DS XL model of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds (with the crappy DLC Code instead of the physical game... what the hell, Nintendo?) I've bought several moons ago but never posted before.

Zelda Collection approaching its end
I'm not a hardcore collector of certain series or franchises, so I'm happy as much as I get each individual game or special edition released in Europe, excluding variants and budget lines. Now that I've managed to get Spirit Tracks Limited Edition, I'm just missing the original Link's Awakening game for the original Gameboy and the Wind Waker slipcase on the GC. I will probably never get the Gold Pack for the SNES or that Ocarina of Time pack with the t-shirt from Germany. Those are two items people bid the sh!* out of them and the final prices are ridiculous, so I'm not even counting those. AfterI get the missing game and that slipcase, I think I'm done with Zelda. I wish I could say the same about Megaman :P

Zelda again for the life of me
Yep, the other side of the world received yet another exclusive edition for their exclusive pleasure, leaving the rest of the PAL territories forever alone. This time it was a Zelda game, more precisely the Ocarina of Time 3D for the 3DS. Those guys received the Ocarina Edition, which comes in a larger card box with enough space to include more stuff than it actually includes because it only comes with the Collector's Edition game and an Ocarina Replica. It's funny that this Collector's Edition game is actually just the preorder box we received in Europe, but in Europe you couldn't have a sealed copy with the game inside unless you bought the Limited Edition 3DS console with the game (which I gladly did!).
This boxset came from the UK, and I have to thank my friend Mosavon at Collectorsedition.org for forwarding the item for me and doing an amazing job with the package. All this because a certain seller clearly stated in his auction that he refused to ship outside the UK. I didn't bother asking permission or a reason for that, because I already know what the answer is like: "err I'm afraid to post to other countries because I don't know how to do it, how much it costs, the game will get lost or arrive badly damaged and I live in the 21st century where international trading is part of my daily life when I buy stuff from the supermarket". And I must say the original seller did a bad job packing the edition. No wander these sellers are afraid to send items overseas because they'll get damaged... If the same thing happens with they send stuff internally. Oh well, at least I got the game.
Thanks a lot Mosavon!

Happy Birthday Zelda =)
25 years after the amazing legend was born, we received a special edition 3DS Console to celebrate. I'm not the sort to collect limited edition consoles, but there are too many Zelda nut fans and I decided I should buy this thing before those nut fans go nuts again and prevent me from getting a goodf deal for this console in the future. Better now than ever.
And it's not just the console alone, there's also a special edition of the game with a wiimote bundle. For the price being asked and knowing this is a Zelda game I'd be stupid if I let it go. I have been playing the game and it's pretty good in fact. However, I can't get used to the controllers so for this particular reason the game is not as enjoyable as it could be. Graphically speaking it's good but not THAT good, after all we've been recently spoiled by a game called Xenoblade and its amazing scenarios. The character design in Zelda is quite better though, at least in closer view. Overall, if I was a reviewer I wouldn't give this game the uber scores it's been getting but I'd still put it on my Wii all time favourites chart. I'm halfway through the game already and I'm enjoying it! This game, Xenoblade and hopefully the upcoming titles in Europe (Pandora's Tower and Last Story) will certainly be the best moments on the Wii for me =).

ZELDA
As you probably know already, there are some items out there that are very hard to nearly impossible to obtain. My collection has some interesting items, but it is so far away from my goals... Not to mention I don't even have japanese or american games and editions for even a single console that I definitely must buy some time later if I want to have a good collection. And there are some amazing items out there that I never expect to get because they are either too rare or extremely expensive (ever heard of the Tetris for Megadrive? If not, you might be familiar with something more common such as the pal version of Batman and Robin or Fatal Fury Special for Mega/Sega CD...)
...
This month a miracle happened. The next pictures show something I never expected to get in my collection. These are items I saw in the internet and the same minute I knew about them I told to myself... "Don't even dream, you will never have those in your collection". And, this month, I just proved how wrong I was. From this point onward, "impossible" is a word that I will never tell when I talk about my collection. I know that they are not the rarest thing in the world, there are things out there worth a lot more cash. But to me, to actually reach the day I would own these editions? That's heaven... You will not be surprised because you probably already know them, but there they are: all the 3 Zelda Limited Edition Adventure Sets!

My Gamecube Collection
Here it is, my gamecube collection. I have the limited edition console with the resident evil 4 game. It's all inside the box except the game itself. There are plenty of things I will get for this console whenever I have the chance. It's not my priority right now.
The collection includes Zelda The Four Swords with link cable, Donkey Kong Jungle Beat wth Kongas, Pikmin, Pikmin 2, Zelda Wind Waker Limited Edition, Animal Crossing, Starfox Adventures, Super Mario Sunshine, Baten Kaitos, Metal Gear Solid The Twin Snakes, Final Fantasy Chrystal Chronicles, Resident Evil 4 with the bonus disc, Metroid Prime and Eternal Darkness. I also have Geist.
