Blood. Blood everywhere.

The new game is finally here and comes with a Collector's Edition, as expected. A Portuguese version was released and I decided to get that one mostly because it usually includes many more languages such as Portuguese, which is not available in most other versions. The outer box is kinda fragile, the statue is average size and not very detailed and it includes the Limited Edition sold separately, but for about 85 euros including a free PSN subscription wasn't that bad! Now I need to play the game but that's gonna take some time. I'll probably wait for a price drop or borrow from someone instead of opening my copy.

Impressive!

Yes, impressive! I don't see many press kits lying around in my country. Actually, I've only seen like 4 or 5 at most over the years. Then one day I was looking at this website and came across something that caught my attention because I had never seen it bfore: playable review codes for both Ico & Shadow of Colossus HD + God of War Collection Vol. 2 with a unique package. It certainly is not a very big deal, but for a collector like me, I couldn't resists. It's the first and only time I ever saw this. How could I miss it, especially knowing they now complete my collection of games from two important series. And I don't have the retail versions yet as well but now I do have a special copy of the two games =)

This! Is!.... Ghost of Sparta!

Yes you heard about it. Yes Sony was offering it on the PSN website. No I did not win it. Yes I did pay for it. No it wasn't expensive. Yes I was lucky. No, I did not play this one yet, and I believe it's the only GoW game I still haven't played. And yes I do expect to play the game once I get the original copy.

I know this game stands somewhere after II and before III. I finished the previous PSP game and loved it but unfortunately I now have other things to play, such as Golden Sun on my Nintendo DS. This one will have to wait for a while, but I'll eventually play it. This press kit is not as impressive as the one for PS3, which is a good thing in a way, mainly because of the amazingly stupid prices some people ask for it, EVEN WHEN THE TRUE VALUE WAS LISTED ON THE PSN WEBSITE. But noooo, nowadays it's the press kit fever. "Oh Noes I got this really crappy press kit with is just a bunch of promo items and a disc, gonna sell for £200 on ebay because people actually pay for it!"

Unboxing Vids!

For the first time ever on this blog, here we have some of the unboxing vids of press kits I own. Let's start with a few PS3 Press kits unboxing vids:
- God of War 3 Media Kit
- Uncharted 1 Press Kit
- Uncharted 2 Fortune Hunter Edition
- PS3 MOVE Press Kit
- Killzone 2 Press kit
- Little Big Planet Press Kit
- Prince of Persia PS3 Press Kit

My Wallet... Ends Now!

This game is just awesome. Bigger scenarios than ever, epic battles, more violent than ever... let's say that everything the previous God of War games did good, this one did much better. the official playstation network website ran a competition for the media kit of the game. The media kit is awesome, probably even better than the ultimate edition, except for the fact that there is no OST included. As for the rest of the contents, you get: a custom wooden box, some art cards, a scroll, a coin with Kratos' face, the game, a bonus DVD, a leaflet that's much better than the crappy artbook they included in the PAL version of the game... it only really misses the OST to be an amazing edition.

Unfortunately I was not one of the lucky guys to win one of the 10 kits available in the competition, so I had to buy it. And it was a pain to get tis with all the speculation going on due to bloodthirsty bidders out there. The website states that the value of this edition is about 50 euros, but I guess people prefer to pay at least 6 times that value.

Finally in my collection, the one and only... God of War III Media Kit.

Kratos is back. And more violent than ever

This game certainly lives up to its hype. Basically, what the previous games did well, this one does even better. Yes, the game's that good. A little short, but good. The violence is amazing, quite amazing. A few years back this game would be severely censored.

Above is the Ultimate Trilogy Edition with the Pandora Box and the Collector's Edition that was only available in certain european countries. There are other editions out there, including a media kit in a wooden box that I expect to get some day...

Collector's rampage, again.

You think I've shown you everything yet? Wrong! Sure, the most important things are already shown. Check the archives if you have not seen everything. Anyway, some of the latest finds in my colection, a few were very recently added while others ave been there for some time now. Here we go...

Picture Rampage

I promised a lot of pictures, but since my camera's battery is done for, I could not take them. So I'll just add some more that I have in my laptop at this moment. Here it goes...
